The Private Space

MINIMAA’s Private Space is designed for users who need an extra layer of privacy for sensitive applications like banking, healthcare, or private messaging. Unlike simple “hiding” features, the Private Space can be secured with biometrics.

Setting Up Private Space

  1. Open the App Drawer.
  2. Long-press on any app you wish to secure.
  3. From the pop-up menu, select Move to Private Space.
  4. If this is your first time, you will be prompted to set up a Security Lock (Fingerprint, PIN, or Pattern).

Accessing Your Private Space

The Private Space is intentionally hidden to remain discreet.

  • Option A (The Search Shortcut): In the App Drawer search bar, type your custom “Private Key” (if set) or long-press the search icon.
  • Option B (The Gesture): You can map a specific home screen gesture (like a double-tap) to open the Private Space. Configure this in Settings > Gestures.

Hiding the Private Space Icon

To ensure total discretion, you can hide the entry point to the Private Space entirely:

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security.
  2. Enable Stealth Mode.
  3. Once enabled, the Private Space will only be accessible via the search bar shortcut or a secret gesture.

[!IMPORTANT] If you forget your Security Lock, you may need to reset MINIMAA settings to regain access to the list of apps. However, MINIMAA does not encrypt app data—it only secures the launch access.
