Part 11: App Drawer Guide

83. App Drawer Overview

The App Drawer is where all your installed applications live. Swipe up from the home screen to access it. Minimaa completely revamps how you find, open, and organize your apps.

84. Search System

Minimaa’s search is not just for finding apps; it acts as a universal command center.

By default, the search bar is located at the top of the App Drawer.

If you prefer easier one-handed use, you can move the search bar to the bottom of the screen via the Drawer Settings.

87. Auto Keyboard

Enable this setting to automatically pop open your system keyboard the moment you open the App Drawer, allowing you to start typing immediately.

88. Auto Launch Apps

If you type a query and there is only one exact app match (e.g., typing “Insta” and only Instagram appears), Auto Launch will instantly open the app without requiring an extra tap.

You can type simple math equations directly into the search bar (e.g., “1+1”). The result will appear, and clicking it will launch the built-in Math Calculator.

Type a contact’s name into the search bar to pull up a Contact Card. From this card, you can immediately call, SMS, or open WhatsApp with that person.

Type any query into the search bar. If no app matches, you can hit search to instantly launch your default browser and search the web for that term.

92. Search Engine Selection

Not a fan of Google? Click the search engine icon in the bar to switch your default provider for web searches (e.g., DuckDuckGo, Bing).

93. Search Integrations

You can integrate third-party apps directly into the search bar.

  • YouTube: Type a query and tap the YouTube icon to instantly search for videos.
  • Spotify: Search for artists or songs directly from your App Drawer.
  • Maps: Find locations without having to open the Maps app first.

94. Search Cards

When you use a search integration or contact search, interactive cards appear below the search bar, offering quick actions.

95. Configuring Default Actions

Double-tap any contact search card to change its default action. For example, if you prefer Telegram over standard SMS for a specific contact, you can configure the card to always default to Telegram.
