The App Drawer is the engine room of any launcher. In Minimaa, we believe that accessing your applications should be entirely frictionless, requiring minimal cognitive load and physical strain. This section covers the advanced ergonomic and aesthetic tools available to customize your App Drawer experience.
The Alphabet Scroller System
Navigating a massive list of applications via a standard scroll can be tedious and visually overwhelming. The Alphabet Scroller is Minimaa’s solution for instant, precision navigation.
111. Alphabet Scroller
The Alphabet Scroller is a minimalist, vertical index of letters that lives on the edge of your screen. Instead of mindlessly swiping up and down to hunt for an application, you can simply press and drag your thumb along this edge. The drawer will instantly snap to the exact letter you are highlighting. This builds muscle memory, allowing you to access apps blindly without needing to visually process the entire list.

Ergonomics is critical to a premium experience, especially on modern, large-screen smartphones. The position of the Alphabet Scroller can be customized to match your exact handedness and grip style to prevent thumb strain.
113. Left Mode
This setting anchors the Alphabet Scroller strictly to the left edge of the display. This is the optimal configuration for left-handed users, allowing your thumb to comfortably rest on the index without overextending across the screen.

Conversely, Right Mode anchors the scroller exclusively to the right edge of the display. This is the default and most comfortable ergonomic setup for right-handed users, keeping the navigation index immediately accessible to your thumb’s natural resting position.
115. Both Sides Mode
For power users who frequently switch hands or use their device ambidextrously, “Both Sides Mode” duplicates the Alphabet Scroller on both the left and right edges simultaneously. This ensures that no matter how you pick up your phone, fast navigation is instantly available without adjusting your grip.
116. Always Show Scroller
By default, the Alphabet Scroller may remain hidden to preserve a perfectly clean aesthetic, only appearing when you initiate a scroll. Toggling “Always Show” forces the letter index to remain persistently visible on the screen. This is recommended for new users who are still building their muscle memory and prefer a permanent visual guide.
117. Focus Scrolling
Focus Scrolling is a premium interaction feature designed to reduce visual noise while navigating. When enabled, the app list automatically shifts up and down in response to your thumb movement on the scroller. The item you are actively highlighting will always stay perfectly centered on your screen, ensuring your eyes don’t have to dart around to follow the list.
118. Draggable Scroller
We recognize that everyone’s thumb size and touch precision is different. The Draggable Scroller setting allows you to fine-tune the size of the “touch target” (the invisible box that detects your finger). Increasing this size makes one-handed navigation much more forgiving on large screens.
Layout & Visibility Controls
Minimaa is designed to strip away the unnecessary. The Layout & Visibility settings give you absolute authority over what gets to exist inside your App Drawer.

This overarching menu is your command center for decluttering. Every application on your phone demands a fraction of your attention; this section allows you to reclaim it by aggressively hiding distractions.
120. Hide Google Apps
Stock Android devices often come bloated with pre-installed Google applications (like Play Movies, Drive, Google TV, etc.) that you may rarely use. Toggling this setting immediately identifies and hides the entire suite of standard Google bloatware from your drawer in a single click, instantly cleaning up your list without requiring you to manually disable them one by one.
121. Hide Minimaa Apps
Minimaa includes built-in mini-apps (like the Calculator, Notes, and Calendar) designed to keep you within the launcher environment. However, if you prefer to use your own dedicated apps for these functions, you can toggle this setting to completely remove the Minimaa mini-apps from your drawer view.
122. Hide Alphabet Headers
By default, the App Drawer separates your applications under large letter headings (A, B, C…). While useful for categorization, it breaks the visual flow. Toggling “Hide Alphabet Headers” removes these dividers entirely, condensing your drawer into one continuous, sleek, uninterrupted text list.
123. Sinful Alignment
Traditional UI design dictates that lists should be aligned to the left edge of the screen. “Sinful Alignment” deliberately breaks this rule. When enabled, it flushes the entire application text list hard against the right edge of the screen. While visually unconventional, it completely changes the ergonomic feel of the drawer, putting the app names closer to a right-handed user’s thumb.
Visual Transitions
A premium application shouldn’t just look good; it must feel responsive. The Transition Styles menu controls the physics engine driving the App Drawer’s animation.

You can select from three distinct animation curves to match your preference:
- Instant: The ultimate productivity setting. This completely kills all system animations. The drawer snaps open the very millisecond you swipe, making your phone feel unbelievably fast and stripping away any artificial delay.
- Fast: A clean, accelerated upward slide. It provides enough visual context to feel smooth without wasting your time.
- Springy: A fluid, bouncy physics animation. This setting utilizes advanced easing curves to give the drawer a premium, weighty feel as it opens and settles into place, perfect for users who appreciate intricate UI motion design.
