Part 22: Troubleshooting

170. Common Setup Issues

If Minimaa does not remain your default launcher after pressing the home button, navigate to your device’s native Android Settings > Apps > Default Apps > Home App, and manually select Minimaa.

171. Permission Problems

If a specific feature (like contact pinning or screen time) fails to load, ensure the corresponding system permission (Contacts Access, Usage Access) is actively granted in the Transparency Center.

172. Notification Issues

If notifications are not appearing on your Glance Page, verify that you have granted the Android Notification Access permission to Minimaa. Also, check your Glance Settings to ensure the specific app hasn’t been accidentally filtered out.

173. Detox Not Working

If addictive websites are still loading or the Mindful Pause is not triggering, double-check that the Deep Detox Accessibility service is turned on in your device’s Accessibility Settings. The Android system occasionally disables these services automatically to save battery.

174. Widget Issues

If the Music Widget fails to display your currently playing song, ensure you have selected your preferred media player in the widget settings and granted the Media Sync permission.

175. Gesture Issues

If Motion Gestures (like shake or tilt) are triggering randomly, open the Gestures menu and decrease the Sensitivity Controls to require a more deliberate motion.

176. Backup Issues

If a backup fails to export, ensure Minimaa has basic storage write permissions allowing it to save the backup file to your local directory (like Downloads).
