158. Creating Backups

Once you have perfectly tuned your home layout, widget placements, and detox settings, it’s highly recommended to create a backup. This prevents you from having to set up the launcher from scratch if you change phones or reset your device.

159. Selecting Backup Content

When initiating a backup from the launcher settings, Minimaa allows you to manually pick and choose exactly what data to include. You can choose to back up just your Home Layout, your Detox Configurations, or everything.

160. Exporting Backups

Because Minimaa operates entirely offline without any cloud syncing, your backup is generated as a secure, local file. You can choose where to export this file on your device (e.g., your Downloads folder) so you can manually transfer it to a computer or cloud storage for safekeeping.

161. Restoring Backups

To restore a previous layout, navigate to the Backup & Restore menu, select “Restore,” and locate your exported backup file. Your layout, widgets, and settings will instantly snap back to their saved state.
